Amid the backdrop of measles outbreaks nationwide, many states, including Colorado, have taken steps to strengthen immunization policies. Join the Colorado Children's Immunization Coalition for a presentation from local and national vaccine policy experts highlighting recent trends, barriers and successes in statewide and federal immunization legislation. Erica DeWald of Vaccinate Your Family will provide an overview of recent updates to immunization policy at the federal and state levels. Sara Odendahl of Aponte & Busam will share an in-depth look Colorado’s own tumultuous House Bill 19-1312 and the path it took during the 2019 legislative session in addition to an overview of other recent public health legislation.
