The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) has collected and published reported 2017 – 2018 school and child care immunization and exemption rates. The passage of the Colorado Board of Health rule 6 CCR 1009-2 requires public, private and parochial schools that enroll students in K-12th grade, as well as preschools, child care centers and Head Starts licensed for 10 or more children, to report their vaccination data to CDPHE annually. Paul Gillenwater, the Data Unit Manager for the Immunization Branch, will be touring this year’s data set and dashboards, discussing overall themes and statistics, as well as answering any questions on the reporting and analysis of the data.
This presentation will:
• Outline the school and child care immunization reporting process
• Analyze the current vaccine trends and coverage levels for the state of Colorado
• Describe changes in this year’s dashboards and data visualizations
• Provide expert resources to answer questions and provide guidance on required reporting
